Chapter 16: Time to Reveal Presents

Christmas came all too soon.  Olivia rolled over towards Leonardo who wasn't at her bed side.  She got the sheets to cover her nude body and ventured out her room to see where has her love gone.  When she left her room she smelled bacon, cinnamon, and maple.

"Good morning sweetie."  Leonardo yelled from the kitchen.  "Did I wake you?"

"No, I just woke up and was trying to figure out where you went.  Why are you making breakfast, let's get back to bed."  Olivia said, as she sat at the small table they had in their dorm.  Leonardo was cooking with nothing but an apron on.  Olivia couldn't help but fantasize.  His strong chest and ripped six pack with small dew of sweat.  All she wanted to do was go back to bed and continue making love like they did the night before.  She loved him being inside her, caressing her body, gently kissing her thighs, legs and neck. 

"It's Christmas!  It's a De Mare tradition.  Make the best breakfast of the year and shower loved ones with gifts."

After hearing what Leonardo said it snapped her back into reality, "Wait I had to get you a gift?"  Olivia asked.

"You already gave me a gift."

"What's that?"

"You're love."

"Awe, you're such a girl."  Olivia teased Leonardo.  But she was touched.  Sure their relationship started off rocky and maybe she got with him way to soon after her break up with Usher, but in her heart she knew he was the one.  "So where's my gift Leo?"

"Where's my gift Live?"

"Well if you come back to bed I'll give you your gift."  Olivia flirtatiously said, dropping her sheets and walking towards Leonardo fully nude.  She hugged him from behind pressing her breast against his bare back, wrapping her arms seductively around him towards his chest, while one hand wondered off to his erected penis.

"Live, we can do this after breakfast.  I don't wanna burn the food."  Leonardo acted like he didn't want to, but he didn't resist or push her away when she started kissing his neck gently and nibbling on his ear.  "Live, I'm almost done."  She continued to seduce him.  She had one hand on his chest, one had on his erection caressing it, while she kissed his neck and back.

"But Leo, " she purred, "I want you now."  Leonardo couldn't fight the temptation any longer, and lifted her and kissed her passionately.  "Leo" she moaned, then their was a knock on the door.

Leonardo stopped kissing Olivia and whispered, "Who could that be?"

Olivia was too into her passion to even care.  She continued to kiss his neck and then whispered in his ear, "Who cares."  Then another knock came.  Olivia hopped off Leonardo mad, and walked to the door and opened it, without realizing she didn't have any clothes on, "Yes."  It was Usher.  To make things worse, her parents was with him.  Olivia felt flustered and then said "Oh shit."

Marie said, "Young lady please put some clothes on!"

Clayton angrily said, "That boy better not be naked!"

"Dad!"  Olivia said feeling extremely embarrassed and now feeling completely naked.  "Uhm, why are you guys here?"

Leonardo pops by the door, fully clothed and said, "Because I invited them."

"You invited Usher?"

"Not him, I guess your parents brought him or he came on his own.  Breakfast is almost ready just please feel free to sit on the couch while this young lady put some clothes on."  Leonardo was charming.  Olivia still don't know how he put his clothes on so fast.

As Olivia walked to her room with her sheet feeling confused and embarrassed, her mother whispered to her husband, "So did you see the hickies on her neck or was it just me?"

Clayton yelled, "HICKIES!"

Olivia hurried and shut the door.  She didn't want to think about what her dad could possibly say, but she knew she had to put on a turtle neck.

While Olivia was changing, Leonardo asked Usher to come into the kitchen to "help" him get the plates ready.

"What are you doing here?"  Leonardo whispered angrily at Usher.

"I have a gift for O that I bought her a while ago."  Usher whispered back.

"Are you aware that you are dating my high school ex girlfriend?"

Usher looked shocked, then it all made sense.  She didn't mind him talking about Olivia because she was still in love with Leonardo.  Then he rememebered that she told him that her ex's parents invited her to their Christmas dinner.  "Then man to man, I gotta warn you.  Your parents invited El to the Christmas dinner and I'm her date."

Leonardo dropped the utinsles. "WHAT?"  He tried to whisper and not yell.

"Her parents are in Italy and they cut her off after they paid for her rehab."

"She was in rehab?"

"Yea apparently she got into drugs really bad a little before you two broke up.  When you stopped answering her phone calls and text messages, she knew it was time to go to rehab and clean up her act.  She did it for you."

Leonardo was lost for words.  He didn't know what to say.  He couldn't believe she was on drugs, but then it made sense.  All the cheating she did and always being out late.  He felt sorry for her.  He did, once upon a time, loved her but now he's madly in love with Olivia.  She was his soul mate.  "I gotta tell Live.  If you want, you can stay for breakfast.  Thanks for the heads up."

"No problem.  I'll stay.  I kind of miss Mr. and Mrs. Jones.  They're really cool.  You'll like them.  Olivia gets her sweetness and holding grudges from her mother.  She gets her anger and humor from her father."  Usher told Leonardo.

"I met them on Thanksgiving, but thanks.  I'm starting to see the similarities.  Her father doesn't seem to care for me so much."

"Talk about sports.  He loves football and NASCAR."

"I don't know anything about football or NASCAR.  Well except my brother is friends with some race car driver.  That's about it."

"Well talk about that."

"Thanks.  You really didn't have to do that."

"I know.  But I really do love and care about Olivia.  Don't get me wrong, I will try to get her back, but as long as you're making her happy now, I can't."  Usher paused.  He knew Leonardo was a good guy and he hates the fact he's not with Olivia right now.  "I'm just saying, while you have her, take good care of her.  I will get her back."

Leonardo laughed.  "Sure thing."  He knew Olivia was his forever, he just need Usher to let her go.  Not for her, but for himself.

Olivia finally came out of her room.  She was wearing a cream turtle neck with a hints of gold threading, black jeans, and her Christmas white snowflake house slippers.  "Hey Moomi and Daddy."  Olivia hugged her parents.

"I take it that Leonardo surprised you."  Her father said, feeling much better that his daughter looked innocent and not tainted.

Leonardo stepped out from the kitchen, "My little Christmas surprise!  I knew you wanted to spend Christmas with your parents, and since we're having dinner with mines, I thought the next best thing would be breakfast."

Olivia looked at Leonardo with so much love in her eyes and they began to tear up.  "Thank you so much."  Then she hugged him.

"Get off," Clayton was about to interrupt her moment with Leonardo but Marie stopped him.

Leonardo kissed Olivia on her forehead and then announced "Breakfast is served."  Then Leonardo guided her parents to a beautifully set table.  While her parents walked towards the table, Leonardo pulled Olivia to the side to tell her that Usher is staying for breakfast.

"Why?"  Olivia whispered so no one will hear how upset she was.

Leonardo guided her to room, "Because, " he closed the door, "I feel bad for the guy.  He misses your parents for heaven sake.  Eventually you're going to have to forgive him.  Not saying you two gotta be friends, but you need to forgive him."  With that he kissed her on the forehead and they both headed to the table where everyone was.









After the breakfast and the gifts exchange, Usher asked to give Olivia's gift to her in private.  Olivia was hesistant and looked at Leonardo for his approval, and he nodded her head.  While they left, Leonardo continued to entertain her parents and try to win her father's approval.

Olivia took Usher to her room and then said, "What do you want?  Why did you even get me a gift for?"

"I had bought it a while ago before we broke up."  Then he handed her his gift.

It was a small box.  "If this is jewelry I can't except it."

"It is, and you will except it.  I promise you'll love it."

Olivia looked hesistant but she was curious.  She ripped off the wrapping paper slowly and opened the small box.  There was a faux pearl necklace that had an O dangling in the middle. Olivia gasp.

"I told you you'll love it."  Usher said with a smile.

"I don't know what to say."

"Say nothing and put it on.  Here let me help you."  Usher went behind Olivia, facing her mirror.  "See when I saw this online I thought about how much you loved the necklace on 'The Other Boleyn Girl' and I was like that would be the perfect gift for her.  So I went to see if I could customize it with your initial and I could.  So I ordered it, and it came in the mail last week.  I figured I might as well give it to you."

"It's so pretty!"  Then Olivia gave Usher a hug.  He held her like it was the last time.

When Olivia tried to let go, he kept hugging her.  "I miss you so much O, it hurts.  I'm sorry for hurting you and I hope you could eventually forgive me."

Olivia had tears coming down her eyes, "Sure Usher, I forgive you.  But it'll take time for the pain to heal.  I'm still hurt by what you did, and when I think about it it makes me mad."

"I understand.  But I'm hurt too.  I was with you for three years and you decided to lose your virginity for someone you haven't even known for a year.  Then you're in a new relationship and you guys are meeting each other's parents.  How am I supposed to feel?"

They stopped hugging, and Olivia wiped her tears, "I don't know Ush.  But the reason why I gave myself to him is because I feel like he's my soul mate.  I'm in love with him.  It's different from what we had.  I never felt this way before, not even with you.  I loved you with my whole heart, and with him, I love him down to my soul.  God put us together.  Us being together, in a co ed dorm room, it's fate, destiny.  Leonardo isn't just a guy I've had a crush on for years and eventually started loving.  Leonardo is someone I feel doesn't complete me or make me whole, but we're two wholes who are in love with each other.  I feel like I've known him all my life.  I'm sorry Usher but he's my soul mate.  I want to spend the rest of my life with him."

Usher stormed out the room and headed towards the door.  "Is everything ok?"  Marie asked.

Usher looked like he was about to cry and was angry.  "Yea.  Thanks Leonardo for letting me stay, and I hope I see you two again Mr. and Mrs. Jones."  Then he slammed the door behind him.

Marie and Clayton looked confused and didn't know what to do.  Leonardo saw that Olivia didn't leave her room so he excused his self and gave Mr. Jones the remote to the tv.

"What happened?"  Leonardo asked as he went into Olivia's room.

Olivia was sitting on her bed silently crying touching the necklace that her old lover gave, "I hurt Usher.  My actions hurt him and I didn't think what being with you would do to him.  I only seen him that hurt once, and that's when his brother died."

Leonardo sat next to her and held her. "It's ok Live.  I know you didn't want to hurt him but don't feel bad."  He kissed her on the forehead.  "You're parents are still here, you want me to ask them to come in or leave or...what do you want."

Olivia wiped her tears, "Just give me a minute, I'll be right now."  Then she forced a smile.  Leonardo saw that she was conflicted, but Usher cheated on her.  She shouldn't be the one feeling guilty.









Once Olivia came out of her room without a sign that she's been crying, she joined her soul mate and her parents.  They played Monopoly, Olivia's favorite board game.  Afterwards her parents decided to head out because they had to see Marie's parents.  "I don't see why we have to go,  your mother can't stand me."

"Well that doesn't matter because we've been married for over 20 years and you both gotta get over it."  Then she kissed her husband on the cheek.  "Come on you grouch."

Olivia and Leonardo escorted her parents to the door and they exchanged hugs.  "Love you Moomi and Daddy.  Tell Gambie and Grandpa I love them."

"Ok sweetie."  Then Marie kissed her only daughter on the cheek.  "Call me and tell me what happened with Usher.  Don't act like nothing happened either."  They both laughed.

Once they closed the door, the love birds started to clear the table and clean the kitchen.  Leonardo felt that it was a good time to reveal that Usher and Ellanora was going to be at his parent's dinner.

"So Live, I have some good news and bad news.  Which one you wanna hear first?"

"The bad news."  Olivia said with a smile, "The good news will soften the blow."

"I'll give you the good news first then.  You're parents wasn't the gift I was talking about."

"Oh really."  Olivia looked at Leonardo.  "So what is my gift?"

"Now here's the bad news."

"Really?  OMG, ok what is it Leonardo."

"Ellanora is going to be at my parent's house for dinner."

"Ok.  Awkward but ok. But does that mean she's..."

Before she could finish Leonardo said, "Yea, he's going to be there too."

"What the FUCK!"

Leonardo couldn't help but laugh, "Live it's ok."

"How do you know?  She told you?  Your mom told you?"

"No, Usher told me.  My ma wouldn't tell me.  She doesn't like giving uncomfortable news.  Knowing her she didn't tell my fatha either."

"Well dayum."

Chapter 15: My Ex, Your Ex, Our Ex XXX

When Olivia woke up the next day she saw that she was in the arms of the man she loves.  She let out a sigh.  She smiled as she looked at Leonardo.  He was peacefully sleep having his arms wrapped around her and holding her hands.  She can't believe that she's no longer a virgin.  She always thought she'd do what the Bible said and wait until she was married, but for some reason it felt right being with Leonardo.  Maybe God knows Leonardo and I might be together forever.  Or maybe I'm talking crazy because I just gave him my virginity.  What if I'm extra clingy?  I should give him space.  She lifts his arm from around her and left her room.  She began pacing back and forth by the couch.

Leonardo came from Olivia's room, "Hey Live."  Then he kissed her on the forehead.

"Hey."

"Sleep well?"

"Yea.  Uhm...you?"

"The best sleep of my life."  Then he kissed her again on the forehead.  Olivia felt a bit more relaxed.  She was obviously going crazy.

"Ok."

Leonardo looked at his love.  "Are you ok?"

"Yea. Hm mhm."

"Are you sure?"

"I said yea."  Still sounding unsure."

Leonardo walked towards Olivia seductively, lifted up her chin and kissed her passionately.  Olivia started moaning and her right foot slowly popped up.  Her toes began to curl.  He stopped kissing her and asked again, "Are you sure?"

"Now I am."  She smiled at him.






A few months later after passing all finals, finishing the school play, and now winter vacation.  The snow was falling gently on the campus grounds, Leonardo and Olivia were hand in hand.  Leonardo was grinning.  This past thanksgiving, Leonardo finally met Olivia's family who absolutely adored him.  It's only been two months since their relationship started and they are so in synced with each other as if they've been together for years.  Usher saw them walking on the lawn, with a new girl he started to see, Ellanora.  Usher envying his ex and who his ex was with.  Little that Usher knew,  Ellanora was doing the same thing.  Usher doesn't know that she once upon a time was in a relationship with Leonardo, her high school sweetheart.  She figured that she could get Leonardo back, all she has to do is date Usher and try double dating as much as possible.  Leonardo could think about all the fun they had while Olivia get's left alone and Usher comes to the rescue. "It'll be a happy ending for all of us." she thought to herself.

As Leonardo and Olivia walked through the campus together, Olivia looked at her cell phone and saw the time, "Leo, we're supposed to be at our drama club together."

"Ugh, do we have to?"

"Yes!  I made a friend remember, and we could possibly be best friends."  Olivia said with such joy in her eyes.  She hasn't really had the time to make friends.  Too busy with Usher drama, getting into a new relationship, and not forgetting in high school she was a huge loser, she hasn't even attempted to making friends.  After their school play, the head of the drama club, Denay, asked them to join.  Of course Olivia said yes for both her and Leo, but Leonardo didn't object.  After that, every week Denay and Olivia has gotten closer within that month.  They already seemed like they've been friends for years.  "After drama club, we must discuss Christmas.  I was thinking since Thanksgiving we were with my folks, Christmas we could be with yours."

Leonardo didn't know what to say to that.  His parents wouldn't mind their interracial relationship, but it was more of his brothers that he had to worry about.  One hundred percent Italian boys that didn't want their precious Italian blood mixed with anything.  They made fun of Leonardo their whole life for being half white and not a pure breed like they are.  He doesn't want to subject Olivia to their taunts or be the pun of their jokes.  Olivia is as sweet as they come, and he doesn't want anyone to disrespect her.  Family or not.

Olivia looked up towards Leonardo with her pretty brown eyes and said, "What do you think love?"

Hesitantly Leonardo looked into Olivia's hopeful eyes.  He couldn't disappoint her and tell her that he doesn't want to be with his family, so he reluctantly said, "Sure babe.  Whatever makes you happy."  Then kissed her on the forehead before she comments on the last thing he said.




After drama club, Olivia and Denay as usual talked about other things besides drama.  Leonardo and Denay's boyfriend Dwight.  Dwight was on the football team with Usher.  So everything about Leonardo and Olivia he is definitely rubbing it in freshmen's face.  In his opinion that's what Usher gets for cheating on his girlfriend.  Olivia was a good girl, and you can't do that to good girls.  Leonardo and Dwight's friendship started to bud because of their girls.  "Hey man, maybe we should hang out at the bar sometime dude."

"That sounds like fun, I'm game."

"Cool man.  Maybe we should double date since our ladies are such friends.  Mind you, Denay asked me to ask you."

"Now how can I say no to that?"  Leonardo said, and they both started to laugh.

"Cool, just let me know when you both are free."

"Yea I no problem."

Once the girls stopped talking the two couples headed to their dorms.  On the way to Leonardo and Olivia's dorm they ran into the newest couple, Usher and Ellanora.  "Usher?!?" Olivia said.

Right after her Leonardo said, "Ellanora?!?"

Usher turned to Ellanora, "How do you two know each other?"

Ellanora hurried and answered, "We went to high school together.  I'm friends with his family."  She looked at Leonardo and Olivia to see if they'll comply with her story.

"Uhm yea, you can say that."  Leonardo said then looked at Olivia looking just as confused as he was.

Olivia, changing the conversation, "Where are you guys heading from?"

"Why is that of your concern?"  Usher said bitterly.

"I was just," Olivia started to studdard.

"She was just trying to be nice, Usher.  Why do you have to be so mean?  Still bitter?"  Leonardo said with a smirk.

"Who's this?  How do you two know each other honey?"  Ellanora said grabbing closer to Usher's arm.

"Honey?" Olivia and Leonardo said together.

"She's my ex girlfriend."  Usher said.

"Or Olivia, that's what my mother named me."  Then she extended her hand to Ellanora.

"Ellanora."  Then she looked up at Usher, "Why haven't I heard about her?"

Then Olivia looked insulted, "She never came up."  Usher said then looked down into Ellanora's blue cat shaped eyes.

"Ok then.  Well this has peaked my awkwardness for the day, I'm just going to let you to go.  Come one Leo."  Hand in hand Olivia and Leonardo continued to head towards their dorm.  Both of them thinking That was weird.




A few days before Christmas Leonardo went over his parents' house, knowing that all his relatives would be there so he could talk to his brothers.  "Hey Frankie, Donnie and Jr."

His brothers walked over to him and gave him a rough hug and a kiss on both cheeks.  "Whatcha doin here white boy?  Thought I wouldn't see ya til Christmas, if that." Jr. said.  Jr., full name, Antonio Bernardo De Mare.  He was more muscular than Leonardo.  He was a clean cut with a sexy Mediterranean tan.  He had a head full of thick jet black hair.  Even though his skin tone was the darkest of the brothers, he had gorgeous light brown eyes that were almost hazel. 

 "I wanna talk to you guys about Christmas dinna."

"What about Christmas dinna?" Donnie asked.  Donnie, full name Donald Alejandro De Mare.  He was the third oldest out of the five.  His twin brother is Ronald Omar De Mare which was the second oldest.  Both of the twins had god like bodies that Hercules envied himself.  They had curly light brown hair with big gorgeous hazel brown eyes that almost look gold.  They both had high cheek bones.  The difference was that Donnie didn't have freckles like his brother Ronnie.

"I'm bringin' mah lady ova and I don't want you guys embarrass me o mah lady.  She's l'amore della mia vita. (translation: the love of my life)  So she's very important to me.  Please don't scare her off."

"So, Nora was right, she said you had a girlie.  A black girl right?"  Frankie, the second to youngest brother, said.  Fransisco Ignazio De Mare was a pain in Leonardo's ass.  He was extremely good lucking.  He had a pretty boy's face with a body that we beyond perfect.  He wasn't extremely buff like his older brother, yet he had more muscular tones than the twins and Leonardo.  He always had a 5 o'clock shadow that made his pretty boy face a bit more rough and dangerous.  He had big piercing blue eyes that were as blue as the Mediterranean Sea.  He had full pink lips that no girl has yet to resist.  He had jet black hair like the oldest brother.  Even though Antonio was Jr., Fransisco looked more like their father, so he was always the favorite one.

"It doesn't matta what race she is.  I love her and that's that."

Then Leonardo's mother and father came in.  His mother, which was the other four boys' stepmother, was beautiful.  She had shinny blond hair.  She had a California feel to her.  She was extremely sweet, humbling, and caring.  She loved all of her husband's sons, no matter how they tormented their very own son, the baby boy of the family, Leonardo D'Angelo De Mare.  She had big gorgeous green eyes that were more of an olive color.  Her name was Angel Marie De Mare, maiden name Smith.  Leonardo's father, Antonio Bernardo De Mare was a thick tall man.  He looked like in the prime of his youth he was a body builder.  He had long jet black hair with silver strands that was slicked back into a pony tail.  He had piercing blue eyes like Frankie, and was a darker skin tone like Jr.  For people who didn't know Antonio, he looked as very mean.  But he has the kindest heart, every since he married Angel.  "Non importa se è nero, è il fatto che il nostro ragazzo ha trovato l'amore dopo che il suo cuore è stato spezzato." (translation: It doesn't matter if she's black, it's the fact that our boy has found love after his heart has been broken.)

"Your father is right.  Plus we finally have the whole family for Christmas.  We haven't had that in such a long time since Nardo went off to college.  Please boys be on your best behavior."  Angel added.

Three of the brothers all said ok in some way.  

"Thank you mom and dad."  Leonardo hugged both of his parents and gave them a kiss on each cheek.

"So sweetheart, tell me about this girl."  Angel grabbed her only son and walked into the kitchen.  "If I knew you were coming I would've made something to eat for you."

"Thank you mom.  And she's really sweet and special."  Leonardo said with a huge smile on his face and a twinkle in his pretty blue eyes.  She could tell that her son was smitten.  She hasn't seen him this happy since he found out he was accepted to Brown and moving away from Frankie.

"How did she like the pasta?"  Antonio said sitting next to his baby boy.  He was glad to see that his son was done fooling around with girls and was getting serious about his future.  Sure Leonardo was only 20, but he was married at the time and just had Jr.  Jr, Donnie and Ronnie followed his footsteps.  A little better than his because they are all still married with their first wife.  The only one that needs to get serious was Frankie.  Jr got his bacholars in business management and training to take over the family's resturant.  Donnie got his masters and teaching children at the local private school how to speak Italian.  Ronnie is an international model.  Frankie just mooches.  No job, no education, no nothing.  He can't even stay faithful to his girlfriend of five years.

"She loved it dad.  I'm glad she did."

"Wait, so you knew about this girl and didn't tell me?"  Angel turned and looked at her husband.

"Well he asked me not to say anything until they got together.  But he's been crazy about this girl since the day they met.  He told me all about it and her jerk off ex boyfriend.  Which I'm so proud that my son punched the shit outta that cheatin son of a bitch."  Antonio gave a pat on his son's back.

Jr. walked in, "You punched her ex boyfriend?  Wow, who knew the white boy got some balls after all."  He patted his brother's back too.

"When you kissed yo wife how did my balls taste?  Ya wife sucked them last night Tony and she said and I quote 'Oh Leo your balls much bigga then mah lil dick husband'"  Then they both laughed.

"Leo?  Who calls you Leo?"  Angel said.

"Live does."

"Her name is Live?"  His mother looked confused.  "That's an interesting name."

Leonardo laughed, "Her name ma is Olivia.  I call her Live."

"Oh ok dear.  So since your father knows so much about her, please tell me everything."

As Donnie, Jr, and Frankie gathered at the table with their father and youngest brother they all sat there and listened to the tale of Leonardo and Olivia's love while Angel was making dinner for her boys.  If Ronnie was here, it would've been the perfect picture.  She hasn't seen Nardo and Frankie in the same room together without fighting or yelling.  That Ellanora truly ruined their relationship.  Hopefully they all get along for their Christmas dinner.  She hasn't had the heart to tell her sons that Ellanora asked to come by for dinner since her parents were off in Italy and had cut her off from the family since was in rehab.  Apparently she's bringing a date.

Chapter 14: Heart Heals and Loves Again

As time past, Olivia's heart began to heal, with Leonardo's help of course, she finally was able to not want to cry every time she saw Usher and Jennifer together in their acting class.  The first month was hard.  The night when Leonardo surprised Olivia with the dinner Olivia told him that Usher came over and that this time it was definitely over.  She opted out the part she told Usher that she was falling in love with him.  She decided she wanted time to heal.  Now that it's mid terms, she's feels like she's healed enough.  After their acting class and practicing their skits for their mid terms, Olivia went up to Usher and Jennifer, "Hi, can I talk to you?"

Usher looked at Jen.  She gave him the approving nod and walked away.  "What's up?  I see you and Leonardo are together."

"Uhm, actually, we're not.  That's what I wanted to talk to you about.  I'm planning on trying to date him soon.  I just wanted you to know."

"Why O?  Are you still trying to teach me a listen?"

Olivia looked at him puzzled.  "I'm not teaching you a lesson.  Aren't you with Jen?  I finally feel like I'm ready to move on.  I don't want to be with you anymore."

"I'm not with Jen.  Olivia, are you really just going to throw away three and a half years for what?  Someone you've known for only about four months?"

"You did it!  Hell you threw away our relationship a year and six months in, so don't make it seem like I'm the bad guy!  You cheated on me, remember!  And maybe if you never did, I wouldn't have gotten to know Leonardo.  We might have been still together, or not.  Who knows.  But I want to be with him.  Period.  You can accept it or not.  I didn't ask for your permission.  I just wanted you to know."  Then Olivia walked away.

Usher was pissed and stormed off.  How could she do this to me?  To us?




For the past few weeks, Leonardo and Olivia would play tennis after their acting class, since they didn't have any other classes afterwards.  Today, since Olivia finally got the hang of tennis, bought her an outfit.  Sure, it was mostly for him, but he'd figure she'd love it.  Once she finally arrived to the dorm, Leonardo said, "Live you're home.  I have a surprise for you."

Olivia was going to tell Leonardo the conversation she had with Usher, but decided to see what was the surprise.  "Oh my gosh, you didn't have to."

"I know, but you've been doing so well with the tennis lessons I got you this."  Leonardo hands her a purple paper bag.  "I hope you like it."

Olivia looked in the bag and saw a cute short white pleated tennis skirt and a tight white tank top tennis shirt with a lavender visor.  "Oh my goodness!  This is so cute!  I love it!"

Leonardo smiled.  He loved the glow on her face when she looked at the his gift.  He knew she loved it!  "Alright now, please hurry up and put it on so we could play!  Plus I think I wanna make things interesting."  He gave her a sly smile.  She looked at him, suspiciously, and went to her room and changed.  When she came out Leonardo's mouth dropped.  "So does it look good on me."

Without saying anything else, Leonardo blurted out, "I love you."

"Huh?"

"I'm sorry.  I meant I love it."

"No, you said 'I love you'."  Olivia walked over to Leonardo and said, "I love you too Leo."  Olivia stood on her toes, put her hand behind Leonardo's head and kissed him.  They began to kiss passionately.  Leonardo held Olivia closer to him so he could feel her heart beat.  Next thing you know, Olivia started leading Leonardo to his room while they continued to passionately kiss each other.  Then Leonardo gently laid her on his bed.  She started grinding on his erection as he kissed her down her neck.  His touch was electrifying her body to the point she couldn't help but moan.  Then she whispered in his ear, "I want you Leo."  Leonardo stopped kissing her neck and looked into her gorgeous brown eyes.  "I want you Leo.  I love you."

He got up, "Are you sure?"

"Yes.  I've never been more sure about anything in my life."

He smiled.  "I never thought I'd be able to love someone again.  I want our first time to be special."

She smiled at him.  If only he knew, she told herself.  "There is nothing more special than me and you."

He smiled and started kissing her passionately.  "I love you, Live."  As he continued to kiss her passionately, he started kissing down her neck to her collar line.  She let out a soft moan.  He grabbed her arm and kissed down it to her hand.  She smiled lovingly into his deep blue eyes.  Leonardo reached under her skirt and removed her black lace panties.  She took off her shirt.  He worked his way down and kissed every inch of her body until he got to her firm thighs.  He lifted up her skirt and started kissing her heaven below.  Olivia never felt so much passion.  He reached for his condom and put it on.

Right before in put himself inside her, he asked her, "Are you sure?"

"Yes!" She giggled, "Honey, I'm sure."  He smiled and looked into her eyes, and gently put himself insider her.  She bit her lip trying to hide her pain.  "Just do it really slow ok."

He looked at her, "Are you ok?"

"Yea I am.  I just haven't had sex in a very long time."

"As long as you're sure."  As he continued the pain went away and she started moaning.  Each thrust was as if he was trying to reach her soul and take her to heaven.  Her moans grew louder as each thrust went deeper.  He kissed her neck and she dug her nails into his back.  "I love you Leo.  I love you sooooo much"




As Olivia and Leonardo was making love, Usher told Jennifer what she told him after class.  "Look Ush, you need to fight for her if you love her."

"I do!  I can't lose her."  He took off and headed to her dorm.  Once he got there he heard screaming.  He walked closer to Olivia's dorm, the screaming grew louder.  Then he realize it as moaning.  He smiled, someone is getting lucky.  He knocked on the door and it opened.  Then he realize, NO!  He came in and saw Olivia and Leonardo making love.

"Are you kidding me?  We've been together for three and a half years and you've known this clown for a few months and you gave it up that easy."

Leonardo got off Olivia and covered her with his sheet.  "Do not talk to her like that."

"Look pretty boy nobody was talking to you.  This is between me and O, not you."  Usher then looked at Olivia with such disbelief and anger.  "How could you?"

Olivia looked down and tears started coming down her cheeks, "I'm sorry Usher."

Leonardo turned towards Olivia, "You don't have to apologize to this douchebag."

Usher looked at Leonardo, "He doesn't know does he?"

Leonardo looked confused, "Know what?"

"Man forget it.  Don't ever talk to me again Olivia."  Then Usher stormed out and slammed the door.

"Know what Olivia?"  Then he looked down at her skirt, it had blood stains on it.  "Was this?"  She nodded her head. "Why didn't you tell me?  We could've waited!  Oh my gosh."  Leonardo put his hands on his head.  "Live, why didn't you tell me.  I..."  He couldn't finish his sentence.  He took of the condom and put on his shirt.  "I'll be back."

Olivia grabbed her clothes and as she saw her new love leaving.  She went insider her dorm and started crying.




Leonardo caught up with Usher, "Hey."

"What do you want man?"

"I wanted to say do not ever talk to Olivia like that.  I don't care how hurt you are, since you knew it was her first, why would you do that?"

"I don't have to explain shit to you."

"No you don't. but for someone to sit there and break her heart more than once, and have her walk in on her own boyfriend more than once, then you shouldn't have judged her.  She's with me now.  Not with you.  She didn't cheat on you like you cheated on her."

Usher cut him off, "I know about the kiss."

"So?  She knows about you fucking Jennifer and her ex best friend.  She knows about the child you're going to have. She knew that your little study date was you fucking Jen.  So let me tell you something, you broke her heart, let her be happy.  Let her go!"  With that Leonardo walked away.

Usher stood there.

Leonardo came back.  I shouldn't have left her. He rushed to her room.  "You hate me don't you?"  Olivia said.

"No Live, I was just shocked."

"I wanted to tell you but I was scared."

"Why?"  He sat on her bed and looked into her eyes.  He held her hands.  "Why would you be scared?"

"Because you've had sex before and casually.  I didn't think you'd like me if I was a...you know."

"I just wish I knew, I would've insisted you waited.  You're first time should be special."  He pushed her hair out of her face.

"I told you, there's nothing more special than me and you.  I never felt like this before.  I mean, even with Usher."

"Really?"

"Seriously.  I wanted to make love with you.  I felt ready.  I never felt ready with Usher."

He smiled.  "I never felt like this with anyone."

"Aren't we moving too fast?"

"I've waited long enough.  I knew that we'd end up together the first day I met you."

"Really?"

"Yea, you weren't like the other girls and fell for my charm.  You actually love me for me.  Not my facade, which you saw right through.  Plus you are strong, smart, sexy, and real.  You don't bullshit and pretend to be something you're not.  Except for not being a virgin."  They both laughed.  "I shouldn't have walked out on you.  Shocked or not, it was a real douchebag thing to do."

"It really was."  She smiled and then kissed him on the cheek.

"Can we just lay down together?  Too much happened in one day, plus I have midterms to worry about tomorrow."

He looked into her eyes, "Sure Live, anything you want."  He wrapped his arms around her and laid down in her bed.  A few minutes later, she started snoring softly.  Leonardo kissed her forehead and decided to just dozed off.  He had a smile on his face.  For once in a really long time, he was happy and in love.

Chapter 13: Hydrangeas

As Leonardo walked down the path to their dorms, he heard crying.  He looked around, knowing it was Olivia and found her in a dark corner by a tree.  He rushed to her and held her.  "Why would he do this to me?"  She continued to cry in his arms.

"I don't know Live.  But I know for sure you don't deserve this."  He began stroking her hair hoping it'll calm her.  She continued to cry hysterically for five minutes then decided to head to her bed where she'd continue.

Once Leonardo left, everybody was in Usher's dorm talking about the punch he just got.  "Aye man that was a sucker punch."  Usher tried to cover up his embarrasing drama that now the whole team and a few other people now was a witness to.  

Jennifer quietly pulling down her skirt, looked for her panties, grabbed her belongings and left the scene of the crime.  Usher was so embarrassed he didn't know what to do.  Mainly because he was drunk.  But he knew one thing...he was going to fuck Leonardo up.  He wasn't going to let no pretty white boy punch him in front of people and get away with it.  "Nigga, that wasn't no sucker punch.  You da one who grabbed him first and he swung.  Nigga you better pay attention during practice and learn to bob and weave nigga.  Bob and weave!"  Then everyone started laughing.  Usher shewed everyone out his room and left.  He wasn't going to deal with being laughed at.  He then realize this wasn't high school.  Here is where Olivia shined.  She wasn't in the shadows hiding from bullies or people making fun of her.  She already has someone guy falling for her.  Why does he continue to take her for advantage?  He knows what she's worth, but since in high school no one else did, maybe that rubbed off on him because then she would never leave him because she had no one else.  She was dependent on him.  He was her only friend back then.  Seems like a life time ago because now she really doesn't need him.  She has someone who's willing to always be there for her.  What is he going to do now?

Leonardo opened the dorm door for Olivia, who ran straight to her room and locked the door.  "Live!"  Leonardo knocked on the door.  "Do you want me to get you anything?"

"No!  I just want to be left alone."  Leonardo had his head down.  He hate seeing her so upset and heartbroken.  He could almost feel the pain she felt.  The whole situation reminded him of Ellanora.  Usher was an idiot.  I mean it was bad enough several people knew.  It just became worse that he got caught at the party he invited her too.  Does that guy ever think?  Leonardo thought to himself.  Leonardo sat on the cough.  He wanted to make sure if Olivia came out that he was the first thing she saw and that she knew he's there for her.

After a few minutes of hearing Olivia's silent cries, there was a knock on the door.  Leonardo resisently got up from the couch to see who it was.  When Leonardo asked who was it, it was the reason for Olivia's heartache...Usher.  "What do you want? Haven't you done enough in one night?"

"Man, I ain't gonna even start with you! I'm here to talk to O."

"Live, does not want to talk to you so go back to the girl you were fucking not so long ago."

"Man, I know you don't like me, and I don't like you either, but you can't be in the way of true love."  Usher drunkenly said.

With that Leonardo opened the door, but didn't allow Usher past the threshold, "Listen here Mr. True Love.  True love wouldn't fuck someone's best friend for a year and a half and get her prefnant. True love wouldn't constantly put its own needs before their love. True love wouldn't constantly hurt someone tht they claim to love! True love wouldn't constantly break their love's heart! So don't tell me that I'm getting in between true love when obviously it's ya dick that's getting in between that. So next time you wanna pull that card out you could just shove it up ya ass!" Then he slammed the door in Usher's face.

"The nerve of that guy!"  Leonardo said with fustration.  Usher reminded him of Ellanora.  They were selfish.  They only thought about their needs and wants, and didn't give two shits about the damages they've caused.

Olivia stepped out of her bedroom.  Her eyes were already swollen and her eyes were blood shot red, "I heard what you told Usher."

"Yea, well, he shouldn't have came by.  I don't care how you'll feel in the future but that guy is not allowed back in this dorm!"

Olivia winced.  "Thank you."  She whispered.

Leonardo walked up to her had both hands around her heart shaped face. "Don't worry about it.  I'm here for you, Live.  Always and forever."  With his thumb he wiped the tear that she was trying to hold back.  Leonardo looked deeply into Olivia's blood shot eyes.  He wish he could make the pain instantly go away, but he knew it'll take some time.

Olivia looked into Leonardo's blue eyes wishing she could tell him that part of the tears she had was relief.  Even though Usher broke her heart she wanted to be with him.  How she feels about Leonardo, she has never felt that way with Usher.  After a brief moment of silence, Olivia told Leonardo that she was going to go back to her room.  When she was ready, she'd talk.  Leonardo decided to sleep in his room and think of the ways to make Olivia feel better.  This was going to be a long weekend.




Monday arrived and Olivia only left her room to use to restroom and pay the delivery guy for her food.  Leonardo started to worry.  She hasn't even showered.  An hour before class started Leonardo knocked on the Olivia's door and said, "Live, are you coming to class today?"

After hearing some movements Olivia yelled. "Not today, I'll go to my classes tomorrow."

Leonardo said ok and got ready for class.




When Leonardo arrived at their acting class, Usher and Jennifer were whispering to each other by the entrance of the door.  "Wow, you two are now inseparable huh?"

"Ha ha very funny.  I bet you're happy now.  You have Orange all to yourself."  Jennifer hissed back.

"As a matter in fact Jessica I am.  Thank you for being so easy, I couldn't have gotten Live without you."

"Hey man, you don't have O."  Usher said.  He stepped in front of Leonardo.

"Well let's just say this.  I know something that you don't know."  Leonardo told Usher, referring to the kiss him and Olivia had.

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Class is about to start jock, could you please move?  Some of us actually work hard for the grades they earn."  Leonardo walked around Usher shoving his shoulder against his.



What seemed to be the longest class ever, Usher was hoping Olivia was there.  He wanted to apologize for what he's done.  He even got Jennifer to also say sorry and lie saying it was their first time.  He was hoping to blame it on the alcohol and that he was said that she wasn't there.  Hopefully that'll make everything even.  She'll forgive him.  She has too.  She's in love with him.  He was her first boyfriend and her first friend.  They've known each other basically their entire lives.  After class I'm going to the store and buying her favorite flowers...whatever they are...and write her a poem.  She'll love that.

While class continued, Leonardo was also thinking about his Live.  He sent her a text saying, "I hope you're still alive"  Five minutes later, after checking his phone several times, she texted back " :-/ wish I was a zombie right about now."  He laughed.  He loved how she maintain her sense of humor through her heart break.  He texted back, out of amusement, "Why a zombie?"  She texted back right away, "So I could eat what's left of Jen and Usher's brain. lolz"  He couldn't help but to laugh out loud.

"Do you find something funny about the play 'The Color Purple'?"  The acting instructor asked Leonardo.

"Nothing sir."  Leonardo coughed.

"If you are texting then you should leave my class and come back when you've matured Mr. De Mare.  Good day."  The instructed shooed Leonardo with his hand and back turned away from him.  Leonardo didn't hesitate, but jumped up and left the class.

"Anyone else doesn't feel like being here today may feel free to leave."

With that Usher, Jen tagging behind him, and two other students left.  Usher decided it was time to make his move to get back with his beloved Olivia.




Leonardo knew what would cheer Olivia up.  Her favorite flower.  Hydrangea.  When they first hung out at the grocery store after church, she bought some.  He asked her way and she told him they were her favorite flowers.  So he'll get a bunch of them and fill the whole dorm with them.  She has no choice but to leave her room.  If only it was a second.  Then he was going to find a giant stuffed panda bear.  Pandas are her favorite animals.  She had told him about the first time she went to the zoo how she just feel in love with the pandas.  She did a research project on the when she was in the 5th grade.  Then he go to his father's restaurant and buy her dinner.  They'd watch a movie, since it is Movie Night.  It would be perfect and cheer her up.  Possibly brownie points too.  With that in mind, he rushed off to the flower shop to start his "Cheer Up Live" scheme.




Meanwhile, Jen grabbed Usher's hand. "Really?  You love her that much?"

"I do."  Usher told Jen.

"Wow.  I mean, I wouldn't have guessed."  She looked to the side to take a moment to think.  "Are you trying to make up with her because you love her and can't live without her?  Or because you got caught?"

"I love O!  We've been dating throughout high school!  I've always had a thing for her in elementry school and middle school.  I just never thought she would like a guy like me.  A fuck up.  Fuck ups run in the family.  She was the only person who saw what I was capable of.  She had my back.  If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have made it to college, let alone graduate high school.  I'm the first in my family to actually go to college.  On top of that an ivy league college!  Playing football!  Olivia made help me do this.  Without her, I don't know what I'd do."

"Ush, you're not a kid anymore.  I understand you're whole 'I lived in the ghetto' story.  But come on.  It's time for you to grow up.  This is why I don't fuck with little boys.  I've been in college for two years.  You've been here for a month.  Get yourself together freshmen.  You can't depend on no body but yourself and the man up stairs.  She helped you get to this point, but now you gotta do the rest on yo own.  And that's real talk.  She ain't god.  She helped you to believe in yourself that's all.  So if you love her, like truly love her then you're going to be honest with her and not give her no bullshit lie.  Whatever you do I support yo decision.  I hope we remain friends.  Friends that fuck or friends that don't, I really could care less.  I just know that I've enjoyed your company and I like talking to you.  You're not fake like most of these stuck up guys are."  They both laughed.  Jen grew up in Detroit.  If it wasn't for her strict Philippina mother who made sure she got nothing but straight A's and a cheerleading scholarship, she'd probably still be in the hood doing God knows what.

"I guess.  I might just lie to her.  I know that's fucked up.  But if I told her the truth, I know for a fact that she'd never take me back.  I already have a baby mama who was once upon a time her best friend.  She's not going to forgive me if I told her I've started this shit again.  After I promised her.  I mean I asked her to marry me.  I gave her my grandmother's ring."  Usher had his head down.

Jennifer lifted his head up, "Hey.  If she loves you she'll forgive you.  I'll apologize and tell her it only happened that night."  She said in a soft tone.

Usher had the urge to kiss her.  He's never met someone like her.  She was street smart, book smart, independent and confident.  Not to mention how gorgeous she is.

"I'ma go buy her some purple flowers.  Purple is her favorite color."

"What's her favorite flower?"

"I don't remember.  But I know their purple."

"Tulips?"

"Maybe."

"You want me to drive you?"

"Yea that would be cool."  With that Usher and Jennifer was on their "Usher Getting Back With Olivia" mission.




Thirty minutes later, Olivia was still in her room.  She was watching 'Waiting To Exhale' for the third time.  She loved it when Bernadine burned her cheating husband's clothes. (click here to watch the scene http://youtu.be/ZGwV4mrOCJo )  All of a sudden she heard a knock.  She sat there for a while hoping whoever it was went away.  The person knocked harder.  She still sat there.  Maybe she ordered something and didn't even remember.  She has been in suck a daze, she couldn't believe it was Monday.  It felt like it was still Friday.  Part of her wished it was to go to the football field and make sure that Usher wouldn't cheat on her.  Part of her was glad it happened.  She knew deep down inside, she was falling out of love with Usher and into love with Leonardo. Just at this moment in time, she didn't want to except the fact that her relationship with Usher has finally ended.  At least on the the romantic part.  Hopefully she could forgive him and they could be friends.  Hopefully.  The same person knocked on the door harder.  "GOSH!"  Olivia said.  She put her beenie on and her purple house slippers and walked to the door and opened it. "What do you want?"  She looked up and saw Usher with a purple orchid and a tube her favorite candy.  Redvines.  Brushing her hair further into the beanie she asked, "What are you doing here Usher?  I don't want to see you.  EVER!"  She tried to sound mean, but it didn't come out that way.  She just sounded sad and hurt.

"Can I come in?"  He asked, already stepping in.  He wore her favorite cologne.  He knew she wouldn't say no.

"Sure."  She looked at Usher.  He was wearing the cologne she bought him for his birthday.  It was Burberry.  She loved it when he wore it.  He was wearing a sexy black tight V-neck, showing off his perfectly chiseled body, dark skinny jeans, and all black Nikes.  Olivia loved seeing him wearing dark colors.

Usher looked at Olivia.  Her eyes were puffy.  She was wearing her black "F*CK YO SWAGG"in gold letters tee shirt, black silk pajama pants and her purple house slippers.  He also noticed her beanie, which meant she hasn't done her hair.  She's never looked like this in the middle of the day unless she was sick.  "I brought you a present."

"Why did you get an orchid?"

He then knew that that wasn't her favorite flower, so he said, "Because it's purple.  They didn't have anymore of your favorite flower so I improvised."

Olivia looked at Usher, "You're lying needs improving."

Usher laughed.  "You know me too well."

"And you don't."

Usher grabbed her hand. "Look O.  I came to tell you I'm sorry.  I was drunk and stupid.  It'll never happen again."

Olivia looked confused, "So you're trying to tell me that it was your first time.  You only had sex with her because you were drunk?"

"Yea.  Babe, I wouldn't cheat on you...again.  I learned my lesson the first time and I don't want to live without you.  I love you."

Olivia looked into Usher's eyes.  She knew he was lying.  After analyzing the year and a half she he cheated on her, she recognized the signs.  "I don't love you anymore."

Usher looked hurt.  "Babe I'm sorry."

Olivia cut him off and pulled her hand away from his.  "It's not that.  I have feelings for someone else.  I've felt guilty about it, but now, even though I'm hurt and broken hearted.  I'm relieved."  Tears came down her eyes.

"If you're telling me this because you're hurt I understand.  But don't tell me you don't love me.  Please don't."  Usher's eyes started getting watery.  This can't be happening.

"Usher, I'm falling in love with Leonardo.  I'm sorry.  A few days ago he kissed me..."  Usher was about to yell and then she cut him off and said, "and I kissed back.  The worse part is, I wanted him to kiss me.  I wanted it so bad!  I dreamt about it.  I mean, besides God, he's the first thing I think about in the morning.  He's the person I always want to talk to.  I felt so guilty about it because I thought I loved you.  But I don't.  Not anymore.  Don't get me wrong, it doesn't excuse what you did.  So hopefully one day I'll forgive you and we could be friends.  But as of right now, I don't want to talk to you or see you.  The sight of you disgust me.  I want to eat your brains."  Usher looked confused about the last statement while Olivia walked into her room, came out and had something in her hand.  "Here.  Close the door on your way out."  Olivia handed him what was in her hand, took the Red Vines from him, went to her room and closed the door.  Usher stood there speechless for a moment.  He put down the orchid on the kitchen counter and left without saying another word.  All he could do was walk out with his head down.  In his hand he held the ring his grandmother game him.  In his head his pride was hurt.  In his heart he was heart broken.  Maybe I should give her some time.  She's bound to come back to me.  She's just made right now.  I hope.  But one thing I do know, I'm going to kill Leonardo.

Olivia pushed play on the movie she had to pause.  She felt better.  So she grabbed some clothes, and headed off to take a shower.



A few hours later, Olivia in her room was wondering where Leonardo was.  Class was over hours ago and she wanted to talk to him.  She's been locked away in her room for two days and she missed him.
She was in her cute pajamas, which was in his favorite colors.  She had dark blue tank top and black booty shorts with silver polka dots.  She grabbed her phone and texted him, "Where are you?"  He texted back, "I'm omw home.  What movie do you wanna see tonight, I'll stop at a red box.  I hope you didn't have take out because I went to my dad's restaurant and brought back some take out. lol"  She texted him back, "Something about a girl killing a guy. lolz jk uhm idk you pick".  He texted "ok"  Olivia continued to sit her room wondering how long it's going to take for him to get there.

Leonardo put his phone back into his pocket.  Little that she knew he was already home setting up the place.  He set the table with the food already on the plate and put up the flowers everywhere and candles that were in her favorite scent.  Lavender.  He put the giant panda bear at the table sitting in the seat between his and hers.  He had a nice black button down shirt and had dark jeans on.  With it he had on black loafers.  Once he was done setting up and turning off the lights and thanking God she hasn't came out of her room, he knocked on the door and said "Live I'm here." 

She opened the door and her mouth dropped.  All she could see was hydrangeas and candels everywhere.  Tears fell down her checks.  After a few days of crying, this was the first time tears of joy came out.  "Oh my gosh Leo, you didn't have to do this!"

"I just wanted to make you feel better.  I hate seeing you sad."

Olivia hugged Leonardo.  Then and there she wanted to tell him she loved him.  But she wanted to heal first.  She wanted to make sure that Usher was the last guy on her mind and that the pain he cause would be a distant memory.  She felt free.  Today was the beginning of her healing.  Today was the beginning of true love.

Chapter 12: Homecoming Game

After the incident with Leonardo, Olivia and Leonardo auditioned for the play their teacher made them and got the leading roles.  Usher was livid but he told Olivia since the teacher made them do it, then it was nothing he could do about it.  Usher wasn't so mad also because ever since the first day of class Olivia and Leonardo seemed to distance themselves from each other.  Usher and Jen started "studying" on Tuesdays and Thursdays since Olivia had an English class during the late afternoon.  He had enough time to "study" and go to practice without Olivia knowing anything. 

The Friday of homecoming game has finally arrived!  Usher arrived at Olivia's dorm 11 in morning.  "Good morning Sunshine."  Usher kissed Olivia on the forehead as she opened the door, still rubbing her eyes.  "I see you're just waking up."

Olivia nodded her head.  Once he opened her bedroom door he saw a beautiful breakfast waiting for him in bed.  "Surprise!"  She yelled and then hugged him.

"Wow for me?"

"Of course babe!  I believe this is the night you're going to be awesome and the couch is going to put you on the field for the second half.  I feel it in my gut!"

"How would you know?"

"Well, last week at your away game, they had you play the whole 4th quarter.  I'm pretty sure you're at least going to play the whole second half.  Especially how you made that touchdown right before the game ended."

"Oh babe, I love it when you talk football language."  He kissed Olivia on the forehead and she smiled.  He knew he didn't deserve her.  He just hopes she doesn't realize that and leaves him.

For breakfast Olivia made 3 fluffy buttery cinnamon pancakes.  On the side there was two strips of thick cut applewood bacon, gritz with sugar, scrambled eggs and a small bowl of cut strawberries, pineapples, and mangoes.  "I hope you like it babe."

"You know I love it when you cook for me."

They both sat down and enjoyed their breakfast in bed while watching the news when Olivia got a call.  She looked at it and said, "Oh it's the director for the play."  She answered, "Good morning, how are you."  Silence. "Uh huh."  Silence. "Really?"  Silence.  "It can't be another time?  What about the game?"  Silence. "I understand."  Then Olivia hung up the phone then gave Usher a disappointing look.  "Babe, I have some bad news."

"Please don't tell me you have rehearsal today.  Please don't."

"Ok.  Glad you could understand."  Olivia quickly continued to eat her food hoping that Usher wouldn't flip out.

"No, seriously O!  You're not going."

Then Olivia looked at Usher and said, "Excuse me?  Since when did you become my parent?  Last time I checked,  my parents are in Harlem.  So would you like to rephrase that last statement?"

"No!  I'm serious.  You know how important this game is to me!"

"And you know how important my grades are to me!"

"You always get A's.  You can settle for a B."

"And you can settle with me not going there, since the head cheerleader will be cheering you on!"

"Don't bring Jen into this."

"I did.  I can't believe you're friends with her and she purposely flirts with you in front of my face."

"I'm not friends with her, we just have the same classes on Mondays and Wednesdays."

"Whatever.  All I'm saying is don't tell me what to do!  We both have different priorities, and you know how much my grades mean to me."

"I don't want my girlfriend to miss my game!  I don't want my girlfriend spending the whole evening playing a role where she has to be all over the guy who obviously has a thing for you!  Everybody sees it except you.  I don't want him near you O."

Olivia could see how jealous Usher was.  It wasn't about missing the game, it was more about losing her to another guy.  "Usher, babe, nothing is going on between Leonardo and I.  Why are you so worried about that?  I love you!"

Usher looked down.  The guilt was starting to take control on his jealousy because all he could think is what if she was doing the same thing he was doing.  Then he said something that he wish he didn't, "So why haven't we had sex?"

Olivia looked at him with confusion and said, "I thought we went over this.  I'm not ready.  I'll let you know when I'm ready.  Why?  Is sex to you a big deal?"

"It's not a big deal but, " he saw that Olivia was hurt and pissed.  Wishing to take back his words he tried to hug her but she pushed him away from him.

"Why would I have sex with you anyway?  You had unprotected sex with Maciah and got her pregnant.  Have you even contacted her to see if she's keeping the child or not?  Or you if you just go MIA that you don't have to be accountable for the actions you've done?  And why are you bring up sex anyway?  You think I'm having sex with Leonardo or something?"

"No babe.  I don't know why I said it.  It's just hard for me sometimes."

"But you know how I am Usher.  You're the one who wanted to work things out.  Like fuck Usher!  I understand that you've already had sex, and plenty of it, but I'm not ready to lose my virginity.  And no offense, especially to you.  You've cheated on me for half of our relationship.  Then you get jealous about Leonardo, when it's you with the insecurities because you should know that I would never do anything to hurt you.  What you're doing is self reflecting your issues and problems out on me.  I don't appreciate that shit.  You're supposed to be my other half, yet you're treating me like I'm yours and you can do whatever the fuck you want and tell me what I can or can't do.  I don't know why you're acting like this, like I'm your property.  But I don't like it and it needs to stop.  And since you wanna mention sex so bad, how come I have never been inside your dorm, but you've always been in mine?"

Usher put his head down, "I told you babe, they won't let the players bring girls to the dorm to make sure we stay focus.  Once the season is over, you could come as much as you want."

Olivia looked at Usher. What am I going to do?  What if he breaks up with me because we're not having sex.  But in my heart, I feel like I shouldn't have sex with him. What if he starts cheating on me again?  Or what if he could tell that I'm starting to have feelings for Leonardo.  "Usher, I'll ask to work on my scene first so I won't miss the whole game."

Usher looked up at Olivia and kissed her on her forehead.  "There's a party happening my dorm's main hall for the homecoming game.  Just in case I don't see you at the game, just meet me there."

Olivia took Usher's hand and told him, "I'm going to make it to your game.  Even if it's the last minute of the game."  She smiled at him and he smiled back.  Usher thought to himself, I don't deserve this girl.  She's amazing.




Leonardo was in the living room, waiting for Usher to leave so Olivia and him could go over their lines.  Olivia distance herself from him ever since he kissed her and they basically confessed how they felt about each other.  The part that's making things worse is, Olivia won't make direct eye contact with him anymore except when during rehearsal. Usher came out of Olivia's room and they looked extremely happy. Maybe they had morning sex and that's why they look so happy.  Usher is so lucky to have a girl like Olivia.  She loves him so much she pushed me away.  It's killing me.  Why does she have to do this to me?  I just want to kiss her soft lips again.  Usher gave Leonardo a look before he headed to the door, kissed Olivia good bye and told her he'd see her later.  "Wow, Prince Charming loves me."

Olivia ignored his joke and said, "So did you wanna run lines?"

Leonardo rolled his eye and sad, "Sure."  He started running his lines, "Elizabeth, I don't want to let you go.  I don't want to stop seeing you.  I love."

"Love have nothing to do with it.  He proposed to me last night."

"And"

"I accepted."  Leonardo stared at his next lines.  Olivia was waiting for him to say them and then repeated, "I accepted."

"Olivia, why did you push yourself away from me."

Olivia did not want to have this conversation.  "I don't know what you mean."

"You know exactly what I mean.  All of a sudden you're too busy for movie night, you're too busy to talk, you're too busy for anything!  So I want to know what's the deal."

"Nothing Leonardo!"

"Live, you're not even calling me Leo anymore.  So tell me the truth, what's going on?  Do you not want to be friends anymore?  Let me know because I'm sick of hoping things would go back to normal."

"Leonardo...I mean Leo, I really don't want to talk about it."

"Why?  What are you afraid of?"

"I'm afraid of you!  I've pushed myself away from you because it's hard to just be friends with you after that kiss."

"If I known that you would distance yourself away from me then I would have never done it."

Olivia looked down, "That's not why I distanced myself from you."

"Then why Live, tell me why!"

"Because I WANTED YOU TO!  That's why.  I wanted you to kiss me.  I wanted to finally feel your lips on mine.  Once I finally got it, all this guilt came on me.  I got what I wished for and now I cheated on Usher."

"You didn't even kiss back, it's not cheating."

"It is!  I wanted it Leo!  I've been wanting you to kiss me since the first time we actually talked after your ex stopped by.  I wanted to taste your lips.  I want to taste your tongue.  I lust for your touch!  I can't be around you without imagining what would it be like if I was with you instead of Usher.  I distanced myself from you because..."

"Because what Live?"

"Because...I'm falling for you.  I'm falling for you hard and I can't do that to Usher.  It's wrong.  So I figured this was just a phase and it'll pass.  So I decided the best thing for me is to distance myself from you."

"How is that the best thing for you Live?  You're miserable.  I see it in your face.  You're worried about Jen always flirting with Usher and hoping Usher isn't cheating on you with her.  Trust me I see how you look at her in class.  Then your conflicted because you can't admit that you DO NOT love Usher and you have feelings for me.  You want to act on how you feel but you can't because you feel guilty.  You're still with Usher because you feel obligated to be in a relationship that is already dead.  You can't admit to yourself that Usher is not the guy for you because you've had this life long crush on him.  He's your first crush, your first boyfriend, and your first.  I understand that you might cling on to this relationship because he's your first, but we're not back in the day when you had to be married to have sex.  You do not love him.  You don't want to be with him.  You need to leave him."

Olivia wanted to tell Leo that Usher wasn't even her first, but in fact she was a virgin.  But she opt not to.  She knew Leo was right.  She knew deep down inside that Usher wasn't the guy for her and maybe that's why she hasn't had sex with him.  She didn't want to give something so precious to a guy who's lied to her for over a year.  "I think we should continue to run our lines before rehearsal.  I have to try to make it to most of Usher's game."

"Live."  Leonardo gently touched Olivia's face.  He could see the confliction in her eyes, yet he admired her loyalty to Usher.  Even if he's the wrong guy for her.  He didn't want to tell her anything, but rumor has it that Jennifer the head cheerleader and the football rookie Usher are sleeping with each other.  He knew if he told Live about the rumor, she would simply say it was just a rumor and that Usher would never cheat on her...again.  "Fine.  But could we still be friends.  We don't have to hang around each other as much as we used to, but we gotta keep our Monday movie night.  Last week my Monday wasn't the same with out cha."

Olivia smiled, "Ok.  Now let's run our lines, we gotta game to go to."

"If we go to the game all I'm going to want is to see Usher get hurt."  They both laughed.

"Afterwards you could come with me to the homecoming game party."

"I don't think that's a good idea, I might run into Britney."

Olivia laughed, "What happened on your date last week?"

"So we went to the movies.  I was a dumb ass and let her choose the movie which was 'The Odd Life of Timothy Green".  It's a disney chick flick.  Ten minutes in the movie, I fell asleep.  So she gets mad at me and hits me with her purse and starts arguing with me in the movie theater!  She called me a selfish bastard and how are we together and be able to fall asleep on our date.  So I said, 'We're not together, just because we fucked a few times doesn't mean we're in a relationship.'  Unfortunately she got really mad and yelled at me even louder.  They kicked us out the movie theater.  Luckily the movie attendants know me and said I can't come with her.  EVER!  She's banned from the movie theater.  So she decides to yell at me at the movie theater, like that's going to make the situation better.  So I offer to take her home or pay for a cab and then she accused me of calling her a prostitute and that I think she's a 'stupid slut'.  After she called the cab, and the cab came, she asked me for money to get home since it is my fault this date was an 'epic fail'.  I gave her $40 and closed her cab door and came home.  It was the date from hell.  It only lasted 30 minutes."  Olivia began to laugh hysterically.  "Hey that's not funny."

"I'm sorry, but goodness that was funny."  Olivia continued to laugh.

Leonardo started tickling her and said, "Do you find that funny!  Do you find that funny!"  Olivia continued laughing until tears came out telling Leonardo to stop it.  Then in a split second, Olivia found herself under Leonardo.  Leonardo found himself not tickling Olivia and staring into her beautiful brown eyes.  They were both staring into each others eyes, intensely, hearts started racing, and their breaths were getting shorter.

Olivia broke the ice and said, "Ready to run our lines."

Leo shook his head as if he was snapping back into reality. "Yea sure."






They went over their lines, meanwhile Usher was in the locker room getting ready to practice.  One of his teammates hits Usher and said "So you're fucking Jen."

Usher turns around and said, "What do you mean?"

His team mate Dwight said, "You are so dumb.  Cheerleaders talk.  And they talk to their boyfriends about everything.  So all the cheerleaders know that you two are fucking and you have a girlfriend who doesn't know."

"Hey man keep it down."

"You must not know that most of the football players in here has a cheerleader as a girlfriend, and already knows.  It's Olivia who doesn't."

"So how many people know."

"Almost anybody who's anybody at this school, except for Olivia."

"Man this feels like high school already."

"Well that's because you're a boy doing high school things."

"Whatever."

"Well you better be on your game that's all because Johnson caught the flue, so you're playing most of the game."



A  few hours later after the homecoming game started already.  Leonardo and Olivia headed to the last 10 minutes of the game.  At this point Usher has been on the field for the last two quarters.  He kept looking up in the stands where Olivia always sits and hasn't seen her.  He automatically thinks she isn't coming and becomes upset.  As soon as Olivia and Leonardo makes it to get game, Olivia tried to get to her usual seat, but it was crowded.  So they stood on the side and watched the last of the game and so Usher score a touchdown!  Excited Olivia and Leonardo went headed straight to the party but because of the crowd they made it took way long to get to the dorm.

On their way to the party, Leonardo and Olivia began talking and joking around.  It took them an hour to get to the dorm.  Leonardo didn't want it to end but it was the best time he had with her in a long time.

Usher has been drinking within Leonardo's happy hour.  Usher was upset that Olivia didn't make it, so he drank heavier than usual.  Jen sashayed to the drunken Usher and said, "So your girlfriend didn't make it to the game I see.  You most important game so far."

"It's fine.  She was busy."

"Busy what? Practicing her kissing scene with her friend."

"Shut up."

"Why don't you make me!"

"I will!"  She grabbed Jen by her wrist and lead her to his room.

Ten minutes after Usher and Jen disappeared, Olivia and Leonardo walked in the party.  "Excuse me, where's Usher?"  She asked one of his fellow teammates.

"Uhm.  I'm not sure.  I think he might have went to his room.  He was really drunk and kind of upset.  His room is on the two doors down on the left down the hall."

"Oh no."  She turned to Leonardo.  "I knew he was upset."

"Alright, let's go to him then."  Leonardo followed in the direction the football player gave them.

Olivia opened the door and saw a girl on top of a guy.  "Oops I'm sorry, I must have gotten the wrong door."  The girl looked up and it was Jen.  Right under her was, the last person she wanted to see, her boyfriend.  "Usher?"

Usher drunkenly lifted himself up and pulled up his pants.  "Yea it's me.  My girlfriend can't make it to a game because she's making out with some guy who's obviously in love with you."

"So you sleep with someone?"

"Might as well.  I'm not getting any from you."

"Fine then Usher.  Fuck you!  Don't sober up and come to me because we're over!"

"Whatever.  I was over it when you didn't make it to my game."

"I did!  I made it to the last 10 minutes of it.  Saw you make the last touch down."  Then she stormed off.

"The fuck man!"  Leonardo yelled at Usher.  "Why the fuck would you do this to her, AGAIN!  What kind of man are you!  You're still a boy!"

"Aye nigga, don't fuckin talk to me like that at my party.  Remember, I'm the star football player now."

"You're just a big headed jock.  Olivia has been so sweet and loyal to you!  She fucking loves you, and I don't know why.  You are selfish, self centered, and you only care about your penis.  God!  I wish I could have someone like her in my life!  I wish someone like her would be mine and you fuckin ruined that and broke her heart again.  Fuckin jerk!"  Leonard started to walk away until Usher grabbed his shoulder and Leonardo punched Usher in the face.  "Don't touch me.  I don't want douchebag on me."  And left to catch up with Olivia.

Chapter 11: Every Kiss Begins with Leo

As soon as Jen left, Usher laid back in his bed.  It felt so good to finally fill a woman's void and give her pleasure.  Yet he felt bad.  He was in love with Olivia, but he keeps doing her wrong.  What was the matter with him.  Usher got himself ready for practice and showered.  He wanted to figure out what he should do, tell Olivia or not.  Maybe he should be single for a while.  He enjoys having sex, making women moan, giving them organisms after organisms.  But Olivia won't give it up.  It's been three years and nothing.  Not even a blow job.  Not even a hand job.  Not even just the tip.  The most she's done was dry hump with her panties on.  He hasn't even put his fingers into her pure untainted void.  What is a man going to do?  Maybe he could just have Jen on the side to let out his frustration.



After Olivia got off the phone with Usher, she started slowly heading to her dorm.  Part of her didn't want to go because she knew Leonardo was there.  Another part wanted to see Leonardo and figure out how she felt.  Was it wrong to start developing feelings for Leonardo, especially when she's in love with Usher?  Every time she hears Leo's laugh, her heart leaps for joy.  Every time they have a heart to heart discussion and she stares into his deep blue eyes all she wants to do is kiss his pink lips until they both stop to breathe for air.  Every time Leonardo comes out from his shower, she can't help but to inhale is intoxicating aroma and fantasize his scent on her body.  Can she continue to deny how she feels, or should she just admit it?  But what about Usher?  He's been so sweet to her past few weeks and with that whole scene with Leonardo how could she just tell him that she is starting to have feelings for someone else?  Especially Leonardo!  As Olivia's mind continued to ponder on the what ifs and hows, she found herself home.  When she opened the door, there was Leonardo with Britney.

"Hi Olivia."  Britney said.  "I was just leaving, Leonardo and I are going on our first date Friday night."  Britney looked at Leonardo and "Bye handsome, see ya Friday."  And blew him a kiss before she closed the door.

"So you're going to take her out on a date?"  Olivia crossed her arms as she asked him.

"Yea I am.  Why not?  It's not like I'm in a relationship with anyone, right Live?"  Leo said sarcastically.

"I guess not.  I mean I thought you were into one night stands, not dating them."  Olivia sneered at him and started heading to her room.

"Why are you upset?"

"I'm not!"

"Admit it, you're upset."  Leonardo gave a sly smile and got in Olivia's face.  "This is fascinating.  Why are you upset with me for planning a date with Britney if you're so in love with Usher."

"I am in love with Usher!"  Then Leonardo started laughing.  "Don't laugh at me!"

"I can't help it Live!  You know you're not in love with that cheating, small brain capacity having, jock.  You're not.  You are too good for him and you keep fantasizing that you two were meant to be with each other when you're clearly not!"

"Usher and I have been together for three years and knew each other dayum near all our lives.  You've only known me for almost two months and suddenly you're a fucking expert on me and my boyfriend? Explain to me how do you know that Mr. I-Know-Everything?"

Then Leonardo kissed her and said, "Because I know for a fact that you're into me."  Olivia was trying to process what just happened.  Then he looked into her brown eyes and walked into his room.  Olivia put her hands on her lips in disbelief.  She rushed into her room and sat on her bed.  Her fingers tracing her lips.  She's still in shock.  Did that just happen?

After sitting there for a few minutes there was a knock on her bedroom door.  She opened the door and saw Leo looking conflicted.  "Live I'm sorry."  Olivia was speechless.  She didn't know what to say, how to feel, or how to respond.  "Live say something."

Olivia looked into Leo's eyes.  What could she say?  That she's wanted him to kiss her for weeks now.  That she longed to feel his lips pressed against hers again.  How she enjoyed the breath taking kiss but if she wasn't with Usher they might have done a lot more then kiss.  "I forgive you."  She whisptered and attempted to close the door.

Leonardo opened it and said, "That's all you have to say?"

"What else do you want me to say Leo?"

"Like how you feel.  Tell me how you actually feel instead of playing these emotional games.  Today in class, I wasn't the only one who put how I felt out there.  You did too!  So tell me that you don't feel something between us and I'll walk away and leave you alone to wait for your boyfriend.  But I have the right to know how you feel."

Olivia looked around.  She felt as if she was drowning in her own emotions trying to find a breath of air.  Then she looked at Leo.  Her heart began to race.  It was beating so loud, she felt that Leo could hear it.  "I...uhm...I...I don't know Leo!"  and tears began to fall from her brown eyes.

Leonardo hugged her.  "Don't cry.  It's ok."

"It's not ok.  How could I do that to Usher?  I mean, it's emotional cheating!"  Leonardo couldn't help but laugh.  Olivia pushed away from Leonardo and wiped her tears, "What's so funny?"

"Live, you're going to survive.  Look, I won't tell if you don't tell.  Ok.  Besides, Usher is a cheater.  He was fucking your best friend for over a year, and got her pregnant.  Remember that.  If you have feelings for someone else, it's not the end of the world."

"It's wrong."

"It's only wrong if you act on it.  Look, how I see it, we're both adults.  We could manage to be friends this long without an incident, besides today, we could continue to be friends."  Then he smiled.  "But I'm glad I know you do have feelings for me."

Olivia smiled.  "So that means you're not going on a date with Britney the Blonde Bimbo?"

"Nope.  It means that I'm definatly going on a date with her.  I just won't have sex with her on the couch."  Then he left to his room.

Olivia was mad yet happy.  It was a relief that he knows how she felt.  It may not be exact, but he knows she has feelings for him and understands that she's with Usher.  Maybe these feelings would go away.  Hopefully it will because she can't imagine saying 'I Love You' to Usher, while in the back of her mind, she'll always think about the kiss Leo gave her.  With that thought, she started blushing.  This seems like the beginning of something she did not want get caught up in, yet at the same time anxious to see the end.
